Frederick C. Mohrmann is a Certified Construction Manager and Expert Witness with more than 40 years of on-site experience encompassing commercial, institutional, and public-sector construction projects.

Fred began his construction career as an electrical contractor, gaining valuable field experience and a deep appreciation for hard work. While learning a trade, he attended the New York Institute of Technology and earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Applying his engineering education and field experience, Fred began to advance professionally from field engineer to project manager while employed by many of the top AE and CM firms in New York City - obtaining his certifications in construction management, OSHA 30, and Aerial and Scissor Lifts.

With his desire to mentor the next generation of construction professionals, Fred became a visiting adjunct professor at Pratt Institute in Manhattan where he developed two courses – Intro to Construction Management and Sustainable Construction Management.

While at Pratt, Fred was approached to become an expert witness on a construction related injury case that went to trial. Since 2017, he has served as an expert witness and litigation consultant for law firms in New York, Boston, and Chicago.

He is highly proficient in OSHA and ANSI/SAIA compliance, construction accident investigation, and construction contract management and dispute resolution.

As a Certified Construction Manager, Fred applies his construction expertise to advise his clients on construction standards and best practices.

Fred is highly experienced in procurement, submittal and RFI procedures; contract and change order management; dispute resolution; stakeholder interaction and communication; project controls and information management.

Owner's Repersentative
Fred manages projects from pre-construction through completion; estimates construction costs and maintains budget compliance; enforcing the timely completion of projects; monitors quality control; coordinates general contractor and client vendor tasks by sequencing scheduled activities; meets with and serves as liaison between clients, architects, engineers, local authorities having jurisdiction, contractors and vendors.
